Location

Gorham has many dining options and a variety of shops. Moose Tours (in season) leave from our town common. On a leisurely drive along the river, moose are very frequently seen

Mount Washington, the Auto Road, Pinkham Notch, Wildcat and the Presidential Mountain Range are a short drive away, (10 - 15 miles) from the Colonial Fort Inn. You can drive or take the Cog, to the top of our highest peak, or hike up it and many nearby mountains.

Story Land, Santa's Village and Fort Jefferson Fun Park are a lovely half-hour drive down the road. Summer rafting, kayaking and ATVing are nearby.

Winter sports include alpine and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. For spring skiing fans, Tuckerman Ravine is a "must do".

Hiking our White Mountains is fun in any season - summer, fall, winter, spring, even mud-season! Whether you hike the Appalachian Trail, the Cohos Trail, the 4,000 footers, or up our magestic Mount Washington; the Colonial Fort Inn is the place to start your journey.
